Unseelie

The Unseelie are those fae generally considered malicious toward humans - - in particular, those fey who habitually kill and/or eat humans (or other fae). The Unseelie Court is the home of many blood-related magics, and is associated with darkness.

Structure

All unseelie fae are technically subject to the reign of the Unseelie Court, but the ruling power are the aes sidhe. The Court proper consists primarily of the Royal Family. Other noble families are arranged in ranks according to bloodlines, raw magical power, and territorial holdings. The word of the monarch is law. As aes sĂdhe are immortal, transitions in power often occur as the result of violent death on the part of the predecessor, or on rare occasions when the previous monarch grows bored and retires.
