Seelie

The Seelie are those fae generally not considered malicious toward humans - though they can be just as cold and calculating as their Unseelie cousins. The Seelie Court values appearances, and is associated with light.

Structure

All seelie fae are technically subject to the reign of the Seelie Court, but the ruling power are the aes sidhe. The Court proper consists primarily of the Royal Family. Other noble families are arranged in ranks according to bloodlines, raw magical power, and territorial holdings. The word of the monarch is law. As aes sĂdhe are immortal, transitions in power often occur as the result of violent death on the part of the predecessor, or on rare occasions when the previous monarch grows bored and retires.
